Agetec, Inc. announced the upcoming Fading Shadows for the PlayStation Portable today, a game that they're sure will excite players with fifty different levels and unique twist on the dungeon crawling experience.
Fading Shadows casts the player into the shoes of Aira and her brother, Erywn, who lived on the joyful side of the world when Master Gardal, the villain of the story, captured Erywn in hopes of overthrowing the Castle of Heaven. Following an ancient prophecy, Gardal hopes to use Erywn's untainted soul to breach the castle defenses and get inside. But Aira isn't going to let that happen, so she seals her brother's soul in a protective teardrop and molds it into an orb. To save her brother, she must guide the orb back to the Castle of Heaven using a magical beam of light.
"We're very happy to be publishing this game as we think many people will be fascinated by the story," says Agetec's producer Mark Johnson. "It's an incredible, one-of-a-kind game that features an intriguing story, brain teasing puzzles, and unique gameplay. Puzzle fans will not be disappointed."
Players take control of a beam of light in Fading Shadows, leading the orb through all manner of environments, while avoiding the traps and pitfalls along the way. Over the course of the game, players will transform the orb into different types of material, be they glass, metal, or wood, in order to overcome the obstacles that Gardal is undoubtedly throwing their way.
Fading Shadows is set for a summer release but has no current pricing model.
