Itty bitty players, itty bitty game. Habeeb it!

2K Sports and Konami have announced that MLB Power Pros 2008 is now available in a RETAIL OUTLET NEAR YOU! As a baseball game, MLB Power Pros tried to break the mold by presenting players as weency little kid-friendly players, but actually garnered pretty solid review scores, with a score of 80 on Metacritic underlying the seemingly kid-friendly gameplay (and a great user score to boot).
According to the press release, the newest iteration of the franchise now features "over ten different exciting game modes including the traditional Practice, Exhibition, League and Home Run Challenge." Players can also "trade, sign free agents, coordinate practice schedules, purchase new equipment, call up and send down players from the Minor Leagues™, along with other management options to bring in fans, win playoff games and, eventually, earn the title of World Series™ champion." It looks like even the hardcore baseball sim fans will find some substance past the cutesy appeal.
It's out for the PS2 and the Wii right now, so you if you like sports games, you may wanna pay some attention to this game. Me? Between the screenshots I've seen of this game and the ASPCA commercial I'm watching as I write this, I need to redeem the cute overload by going out and doing something manly, like eating a cow or wrestling a clown. Aww, look at the kitty!
